Author of top-selling horror novel, The Well. Co-author of Is It News? – an in-depth guide to writing press releases and news stories.

Author, writer, copywriter.

  • Fiction

I write dark, gripping fiction, a combination of the horror and thriller genres. I like to blend suspense, psychological tension, and elements of the supernatural, creating stories that are both chilling and thought-provoking. If there’s one thing which thrills me more than a reader saying they couldn’t put a book down, it’s them saying that they couldn’t sleep.

  • Non-fiction

My non-fiction writing is based primarily around marketing and publicity, fields in which I’ve worked for around forty years. I co-authored a top-rated book – Is It News? – an in-depth practical guide for anyone who’s tasked with writing press releases. It breaks the writing process down into practical steps that can transform how you write press releases.

Current writing project: Gigs Live Music Club, Derby Hall, Bury, 1979–1987

My current writing project is a personal record of the North Manchester music scene in the early 1980s, examined through the lens of Gigs Live Music Club at the Derby Hall in Bury.
